Mosman Training Begins!

Repositioning - when repositioning between the side and in front positions the defender must keep vision of both the ball and opponent. * Quick footwork is used to reposition between in front and side defending * The defender should not contact on transition between movements * Whenever possible the defender should move to the front position to attempt an interception with two hands rather than remaining side on to an opponent * If in a side position, the defender should attempt to tip the ball using the and closer to the ball (front arm)

Team Drill -

Pivot and Pass (3 Player Drill)

Outside Arm *Working around the body of a stationery player * Defender uses short quick side stepping footwork to come around the body of the attacking player to deflect or intercept the ball * The defender should not contact on transition between movements * Palm of your hand should be facing the flight of the ball at contact with the ball defender pushes the ball down to the ground to regather. * Leading around the body left foot & left hand, right foot right hand *TIP AND CHASE
