It is our pleasure to announce the return of the Nets Netball Elite Academy for 2026.

​

Following the continued success of our programs in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025, we are excited to once again offer this unique development opportunity for athletes entering the 12 and 13 years representative pathway.

​

This 8-session program has been specifically designed for motivated athletes who are striving to reach their full potential. Through targeted skill development, advanced learning, and high-performance training environments, our goal is to provide athletes with the knowledge, coaching and practical on-court experiences required to support their ongoing development and preparation for future representative selections.

The Elite Academy returns in Term 3, 2026 and will be conducted at the Marie Bashir Indoor Sports Centre, Mosman.

​

Invitations are extended to current and former representative players, members of our Elite and Development Academies from previous seasons, emerging representative athletes, and A Grade players seeking additional development opportunities. If you know an athlete who would benefit from this experience, we encourage you to share this invitation.

Sessions will be conducted across 8 Thursday evenings, commencing on 23rd July and concluding on 17th September. A scheduled recovery week has been incorporated into the program to support athlete wellbeing and learning retention. There will be no training on Thursday, 20 August.

Program Eligibility
 

To maintain the Academy's high-performance focus, athletes must satisfy at least TWO of the following eligibility criteria:
 

• Current or former member of the Nets Netball Development Academy

• Current member of an A Grade Club Netball Team

• Current athlete of the NSNA Representative Program 2025
   

For example, an athlete may be eligible through participation in both an A Grade Club Team and the Nets Netball Development Academy, or through involvement in the Development Academy and the NSNA Representative Program.
 

The Elite Academy is designed for athletes who have already demonstrated a commitment to advanced netball development and are seeking further challenge, learning and progression within a representative pathway environment.
 

Session Times

• Athletes currently in 11 Years and entering 12 Years in 2027: 5.00pm – 6.00pm

• Athletes currently in 12 Years and entering 13 Years in 2027: 6.00pm – 7.00pm

Places are limited, and we encourage athletes committed to their growth and progression to secure their position early.
